Friends and beachs

When I Googled the word friend, the first definition that popped up was this;

a person whom one knows and with whom one has a bond of mutual affection, typically exclusive of sexual or family relations.

This definition fits my friend Alan to a tee.

Although we have know each other for nearly a decade, we had not, until this trip met face to face. We met in a online game, World of Warcraft to be precise, and spent too many hours to count battling the digital enemies therein. We talked on Vent about game issues and those in real life. Graduated to facebook and telephone and kept in touch even after we both left the game. So, when we finally shook hands and embraced a few days ago, it was like seeing a childhood friend again after years of absence.

The visit was too short but as visits with good friends go was long enough. We walked on the Garden City pier, just south of Myrtle Beach SC., and caught up events past, present, and planned.

A enjoyable visit  with a good friend ended with us finding our way back to Honey Hill and Alan off to repair a sound system. Life goes on. Thank you Alan for being a friend.

Next time, our camping locations during our stay in South Carolina. As I put pen to paper (lol) we are several states away and I'm playing catch up. Anyway until next time we are C & L On The Road.
